About The Position
Universal Logistics is hiring intermodal owner-operator drivers for its Harvey location. The contractor-focused facility offers a mix of freight options, including local and regional loads, with home-daily freight available. Runs are available on days and overnight, and freight operates six days per week. Regional loads go to Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, and Minnesota. Owner operators may gross up to $200,000+ yearly, with weekly gross earnings of up to $3,000–$4,000 and percentage pay of up to 70%. Trucks must be model year 2005 or newer. Hazmat endorsement is required and must be obtained within the first 60 days of employment. Lease/purchase options are available. Universal also offers bobtail insurance rates described as among the industry's lowest, year-round national accounts, a plate program, access to more than 400 company-owned chassis, a tire program, and free parking in Harvey and Rockdale/Joliet. The terminal is located at 250 E 167th St., Harvey, IL 60426.
Requirements
- Own or operate a truck that is model year 2005 or newer.
- Obtain a Hazmat endorsement within the first 60 days of employment.
