About The Position

MacArthur Co. is a 100% Employee-Owned company that has grown from a small manufacturer of pipe insulation in 1913 to a national distributor of building materials. As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for delivering building materials to industrial and commercial job sites, warehouses, and residential homes accurately, safely, and on time. You will have the opportunity to be home each evening and on weekends. This position will also assist with the stocking & preparing of orders for distribution to a network of customers.

Requirements

• Acceptable driving record and a current Class B CDL license (Class A preferred)
• 1 year of prior commercial driving experience
• Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test
• Maintain a clear FMSCA Clearinghouse record

Nice To Haves

• Class A CDL license
• Hazmat certification
• Prior boom experience preferred
• Knowledge of roofing, HVAC, and mechanical insulation

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accurate, safe, and on-time delivery of building materials (HVAC, Insulation, Roofing)
• Inspect trucks for order accuracy, comply with weight restrictions, and properly secure materials
• Work with customers and co-workers to facilitate the loading/unloading of trucks
• Perform DOT-required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Help coordinate deliveries and assist in maintaining inventory levels
• Ensure that delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional service
• Help load and unload trucks during any downtime.
• Efficiently & accurately organize building materials using a variety of equipment
• Banding, wrapping, or packaging material for shipping on commercial trucks & trailers
• Help to organize and clean the warehouse and yard work areas as needed
