WM is hiring a roll-off CDL truck driver to prepare, load, and transport large mobile open-top and compactor containers from customer locations to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities. The driver operates heavy-duty trucks and navigates driveways, alleyways, lots, high-traffic roadways, and potentially tight overhead environments on industrial routes. Skilled backing maneuvers are essential. The position is safety-sensitive and requires compliance with company, OSHA, DOT, and applicable laws and safety protocols. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 5:30 a.m.; WM describes its drivers as home at night and on weekends. Drivers perform vehicle inspections and document them using the standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report, report safety and service issues, communicate customer requests and route obstacles, empty receptacles completely, leave customer locations clean, follow assigned routes, and complete end-of-day documentation. They participate in required training and meetings, work with operations to improve route efficiency, and assist other drivers as directed. Candidates must hold a qualifying CDL and meet the driving experience, age, work eligibility, English communication, and pre-employment screening requirements. The role involves physical activities including standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing. Ongoing drug and alcohol testing may apply under government regulations and company policies.
