CDL Truck Driver
About The Position
This role operates from 5 key locations: Richmond, VA; Dallas, TX; Bakersfield, CA; Salem, OR; and Thomasville, NC. As an interstate carrier with nationwide operations, each location runs a hybrid Regional / OTR model. This position is part of PPG Traffic Solutions, the largest traffic safety markings company in the U.S., delivering road paint and materials to nearly every state DOT. The primary freight is Flatbeds, with additional equipment including Tankers & Dry Vans. The role also supports rail yard operations and specialized tanker moves. The operations are Monday-Friday, with home every weekend and frequent weekday home time depending on freight. There is an option to stay out longer if preferred, with a strong focus on driver work-life balance. Compensation is competitive, with the top 30% nationally in driver pay, paid via daily rate + mileage, averaging 500+ miles per day. Specific pay includes a $340 flat daily rate for runs under 300 miles (when assigned), plus additional pay for Forklift and Tarping.
Requirements
- Class A CDL (Required)
- Tanker Endorsement (Required at hire)
- Hazmat Endorsement (Required within 90 days)
Responsibilities
- Deliver road paint and materials to nearly every state DOT.
- Operate primary freight: Flatbeds.
- Operate additional equipment: Tankers & Dry Vans.
- Support rail yard operations and specialized tanker moves.
- Maintain a Monday-Friday schedule with home every weekend.
- Utilize frequent weekday home time depending on freight.
- Option to stay out longer if preferred.
- Achieve an average of 500+ miles per day.
- Receive a $340 flat daily rate for runs under 300 miles (when assigned).
- Receive additional pay for Forklift and Tarp.
