About The Position

This role operates as a CDL Truck Driver within PPG's Private Fleet, which is the largest traffic safety markings company in the U.S. The fleet operates from 5 key locations: Richmond, VA; Dallas, TX; Bakersfield, CA; Salem, OR; and Thomasville, NC. The operation is an interstate carrier with nationwide operations, running a hybrid Regional / OTR model at each location. The primary freight is delivered via flatbeds, with additional equipment including tankers and dry vans. The role also supports rail yard operations and specialized tanker moves. Requirements

  • Class A CDL (Required)
  • Tanker Endorsement (Required at hire)
  • Hazmat Endorsement (Required within 90 days)
  • Ability to average 500+ miles per day.
  • Willingness to work Monday-Friday operations.
  • Ability to be home every weekend.
  • Flexibility for frequent weekday home time depending on freight.
  • Option to stay out longer if preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with flatbeds, tankers, and dry vans.
  • Experience supporting rail yard operations.
  • Experience with specialized tanker moves.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a CDL Class A truck.
  • Deliver road paint and materials to nearly every state DOT.
  • Transport primary freight on flatbeds.
  • Operate additional equipment such as tankers and dry vans.
  • Support rail yard operations.
  • Perform specialized tanker moves.
  • Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods.
  • Maintain the truck and associated equipment.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
