About The Position

Responsible for operating commercial vehicles with a Class A driver's license. This is a dayshift position with early morning starts, paying $30.65. The role involves inspecting and maintaining the truck, ensuring cargo is safely loaded and secured, completing required transportation documentation, and providing professional customer service while following Federal and State DOT and warehouse safety regulations. The position may involve overnight trips 1–2 nights per week.

Requirements

• Commercial driver's license (Class A CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.
• At least 2 years of recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• United States work authorization is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (such as testing and repair), or forward logistics operation.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Specialized skills for managing hazardous materials.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the truck before and after trips.
• Complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports accurately.
• Ensure cargo is checked and safely secured during transit.
• Assist with or oversee loading and unloading cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Obtain all required signatures on shipping and receiving documents.
• Monitor truck maintenance and repairs.
• Communicate professionally and represent the company positively while providing customer service.
• Follow all Federal and State DOT regulations and warehouse safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
