About The Position

Drivers operate heavy-duty trucks with front, side, or rear-end load-lift attachments, depending on the line of business and truck type. They transport materials to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities when trucks reach legal load capacity. Commercial Drivers pick up containers filled with waste or recyclable material, which may weigh more than 1,000 pounds and may need to be maneuvered to a pickup staging area. The work involves navigating high-traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots; skilled backing maneuvers are essential. Residential Drivers collect household waste or recyclables and maneuver vehicles safely in residential areas. Roll-off Drivers prepare, load, and transport large mobile open-top and compactor containers from customer locations, including on industrial routes and in tight overhead environments. This safety-sensitive role requires compliance with safety protocols and may involve drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment, post-incident, reasonable-suspicion, and random testing in accordance with government regulations and company policies. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 4 a.m. Pay starts at $22.14, based on experience.
