About The Position

This program is designed for individuals looking to start a career as a CDL Driver. The initial phase involves working as a Delivery Assistant, assisting with unloading products at Kwik Trip stores. Upon successful completion of CDL training, you will transition to a CDL Driver Trainee role, working with trainers to gain experience. Requirements

At least 18 years old to be a Delivery Assistant
At least 21 years old to be a CDL Driver Trainee
Excellent driving record in accordance with Kwik Trip’s driving matrix
Ability to meet DOT requirements upon completion of training, including a DOT drug screen and DOT physical
Willingness to sign a contract to enter Kwik Trip’s CDL Tuition Reimbursement Program
Commitment to accept a driving position with Kwik Trip upon completion of apprenticeship
Sit up to 6 hours at a time
Stand up to 2 hours at a time
Bend/reach/twist/stoop/squat frequently
Lift up to 75 pounds to waist level occasionally
Lift up to 70 pounds to 60 inches occasionally
Lift up to 40 pounds to 72 inches frequently
Carry 90 pounds occasionally
Push/pull up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
Must live within 60 miles/60 minutes of La Crosse

Responsibilities

Assisting with unloading up to 30,000 pounds of product at Kwik Trip Stores
Placing products in the correct location (cooler, freezer, backroom)
Working with minimal supervision in a safety-conscious environment
Working in a variety of weather/temperature conditions
Working 10-12 hours during day shift for the first 6 weeks as a Delivery Assistant
Attending CDL training classes during the day shift
Working night shift for 8 weeks as a CDL Driver Trainee while working with trainers
Setting seniority at the end of the 8-week CDL Driver Trainee period
