About The Position
Get paid to go to school for your CDL! Kwik Trip is offering a CDL Truck Driver Trainee position where your CDL tuition will be paid for, and you will have a job after your CDL training is complete. This program is designed to train individuals to become CDL Drivers. The initial phase involves working as a Delivery Assistant, assisting with unloading and stocking products at Kwik Trip stores. Upon completion of the CDL training program, you will transition into a CDL Driver Trainee role, working with trainers to gain experience. Kwik Trip has been a family-owned convenience store chain for over 60 years, operating in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, South Dakota, and Illinois, with a commitment to treating coworkers and guests like family.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old to be a Delivery Assistant
- At least 21 years old to be a CDL Driver Trainee
- Excellent driving record in accordance with Kwik Trip’s driving matrix
- At least 21 years of age or turning 21 by completion of CDL driving course
- Ability to meet DOT requirements upon the completion of training which include, but are not limited to a DOT drug screen and DOT physical
- Willing to sign contract to enter Kwik Trip’s CDL Tuition Reimbursement Program
- Commitment to accept a driving position with Kwik Trip upon completion of apprenticeship
- Sit up to 6 hours at a time
- Stand up to 2 hours at a time
- Bend/reach/twist/stoop/squat frequently
- Lift up to 75 pounds to waist level occasionally
- Lift up to 70 pounds to 60 inches occasionally
- Lift up to 40 pounds to 72 inches frequently
- Carry 90 pounds occasionally
- Push/pull up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Must live within 60 miles/60 minutes of Eyota, MN
Responsibilities
- Assisting with unloading up to 30,000 pounds of product at Kwik Trip Stores
- Placing products in the correct location (cooler, freezer, backroom)
- Working with minimal supervision in a safety-conscious environment
- Working in a variety of weather/temperature conditions
