About The Position

This role involves transporting goods, maintaining equipment, and assisting with warehouse duties. The CDL Truck Driver and Material Handler will represent the company professionally, communicate effectively, and keep accurate records. Responsibilities include performing inspections, assisting with loading/unloading, and adhering to safety regulations. The position also requires general warehouse support, including inventory movement and staging.

Requirements

Valid CDL Class A driver’s license
Minimum 2 years’ experience driving tractor-trailer
Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
Must have an excellent driving record
Ability to drive for long distances
All team members are expected to follow the Code of Conduct to the highest standards as well as to adhere to the Attendance Policy of VT Industries

Responsibilities

Transport goods from one place to another using tractor trailer
Represent the company in a positive and professional manner
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external customers
Keep accurate and thorough records
Maintain equipment in good working condition
Work with shipping and receiving team on alternate weeks
Perform pre-trip, in-transit, and post-trip inspections of tractors and trailers to ensure safe operating conditions and DOT compliance.
Inspect trailers for damage, cleanliness, and structural integrity before loading and unloading.
Assist with loading and unloading freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment.
Safely transport products to designated locations while adhering to company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
Report equipment defects, maintenance needs, accidents, or safety concerns immediately.
Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
Keep tractors, trailers, and work areas clean and organized.
Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety procedures.
Assist with general warehouse duties, including inventory movement, staging, and organization, as needed.
