About The Position

The CDL Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely transporting trucks between dealership locations for Michigan Kenworth in Gaylord, Michigan. The role involves driving semi-tractors between dealerships and completing trips within a reasonable time frame. Work is on an as-needed basis with no set schedule. The position operates in a dealership environment and may involve 8–12-hour days with frequent exposure to weather elements. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

Requirements

• Must be available on an as-needed basis with no set schedule.
• Must have a CDL Class A or B and a good driving record.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen and maintain a Federal Medical Card.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and stoop, and regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a dealership environment, including 8–12-hour days and frequent exposure to weather elements.
• High school education level is listed.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive semi-tractors between dealership locations.
• Complete trips within a reasonable time frame.
• Identify customer needs and address them efficiently and effectively.
• Communicate through listening, speaking, and signaling so others can understand; communicate spoken English well enough to be understood.
• Work cooperatively and professionally to complete assignments.
• Recognize and mitigate safety hazards, including hazardous materials, environmental hazards, and accident conditions; follow appropriate security procedures.
• Make arrangements that fulfill requirements efficiently and economically.
• Adapt to workplace changes and variety, and learn new information for future problem solving and decision making.
