Requirements

• Possession of an active Pennsylvania Class A or B Commercial Driver's License or equivalent with the Air Brake Restriction (L) removed.
• Possession of an active Medical Examiner’s Certificate in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Successful completion of the Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee Program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from a Commercial Driver’s License Training School; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks, loaders, and other assigned maintenance machinery
• Perform flagging duties to help manage traffic safely during work activities
• Carry out roadway maintenance using hand tools and power tools
• Complete field adjustments, minor repairs, and basic preventative maintenance
• Follow safety procedures and remain aware of hazards in the work area
• Apply environmental protection requirements during maintenance work
