About The Position

We’re hiring a Hazmat Driver to load, transport, and deliver products, including sulfuric acid and ammonium nitrate products in pneumatic and tanker trailers to various mines and aggregate sites throughout Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
HAZMAT & Tank endorsements required; Double/Triple preferred
At least 23 Years of age
1-year tractor-trailer experience. Less experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis and may require an extended training period.
Valid DOT Physical
Authorized access to mine site properties
Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations within the previous 3 years
No major moving violations within the last 5 years
Full Face Respirator to seal
Successfully pass road test evaluation
Successfully pass a controlled substance test for pre-employment purposes
Be insured under the company’s vehicle insurance policy
Be clean-shaven daily if required to wear a respirator.

Ability to operate a manual 10-speed configuration

Responsibilities

Load, transport, and deliver products, including sulfuric acid and ammonium nitrate products in pneumatic and tanker trailers to various mines and aggregate sites throughout Arizona, New Mexico and Utah.
Adhere to strict safety protocols, MSHA, and FMCSA regulations.
Complete thorough pre- and post-trip inspections.
Operate a manual 10-speed configuration (preferred but not required).
Crawl on hands and knees to open and close bottom hatches on the underside of the trailer.
Perform tasks in rapid succession, handle stressful situations, make quick decisions, and react.
Work outside in the elements, potentially requiring a chemical-resistant acid suit, rubber gloves, rubber boots, and a full-face respirator.
