About The Position

Terrestris Global Solutions is seeking reliable and safety-focused CDL Drivers to support government contracting operations on a temporary, as-needed basis. This role supports mission-critical logistics activities involving the transport and repositioning of a variety of government and contractor-owned vehicles and equipment, including heavy equipment carriers, refrigeration vehicles, passenger vehicles, fuel tankers, and school buses. Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (Class A or B, as required)
  • Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety
  • Experience transporting heavy equipment, vehicles, or specialized cargo
  • Ability to operate a variety of transport vehicles, including tankers and refrigerated units
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
  • Ability to lift, secure, and manage heavy loads
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability
  • Eligible to gain access to U.S. military base (U.S. citizen, authorized non-U.S. citizen, clean background, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Hazmat and/or Tanker endorsements
  • Passenger endorsement
  • Experience supporting government or military operations
  • Familiarity with load securement standards for heavy equipment
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and transport a variety of vehicles and equipment, including heavy machinery, refrigerated trucks, passenger vehicles, and fuel tankers—in support of government contracting operations.
  • Secure the cargo in compliance with all DOT regulations and safety standards, when there is cargo.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation.
  • Coordinate with dispatch to meet mission requirements.
  • Adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Ensure proper handling of specialized or hazardous materials when applicable.
