About The Position

Colours, Inc. is a leading distributor of automotive and industrial coatings, providing products, training, and service to customers across the region. The Class B CDL Driver (Over the Road) safely and promptly transports products between company locations using a sleeper truck, with three nights away from home each week. The role primarily supports internal distribution by delivering automotive paints, coatings, and related supplies to company-owned locations while maintaining shipment accuracy and complying with transportation regulations.

When not completing delivery routes, the driver performs warehouse duties such as receiving, stocking, order preparation, inventory organization, and general warehouse support. The position also involves vehicle inspections and cleanliness, delivery documentation, and moving products weighing 50 pounds or more as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with HazMat endorsement.
• Current and valid medical certification.
• Ability to pass required drug screening and criminal background checks.
• Experience operating forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks, and liftgates.
• Ability to safely operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles, as applicable.
• Willingness to perform warehouse duties in addition to driving responsibilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more as required.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 16-foot straight truck (14,500 GVW) with a sleeper cab on over-the-road routes between company locations, including three nights away from home per week.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload inventory safely and accurately.
• Check orders before and after transport to verify shipment accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
• Operate forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks, and liftgates as required.
• Perform warehouse duties when not completing delivery routes, including receiving, stocking, order preparation, inventory organization, and general warehouse support.
• Keep the vehicle clean, perform routine vehicle inspections, and promptly report maintenance issues.
• Follow DOT regulations, company safety policies, and transportation compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records.
• Lift and move products weighing 50 pounds or more as needed.
• Maintain a clean driving record and represent Colours, Inc. professionally.
