About The Position

The CDL Driver operates a tractor-trailer on a designated route to service accounts and transport products and services. The role includes completing required vehicle inspections, safely operating commercial vehicles and related equipment, preparing and securing loads, maintaining accurate documents and counts, and communicating product and operational information to retailers and customers. The driver must complete weekly tasks within the allotted time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A CDL and an acceptable driving history.
• Ability to pass a DOT drug screen before employment.
• General knowledge of air brakes, fifth wheels, and combination vehicles.
• Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external business partners at all levels.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day.
• Professional demeanor in attitude and appearance.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and understanding of OBRC operations and service areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform required daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Safely and courteously operate a commercial motor vehicle and equipment, including pallet jacks, lift gates, and handheld devices.
• Prepare accurate documents, counts, and products, including marking bags, building pallets, and grouping products.
• Load trucks, ensuring all items are counted, loaded, and properly secured.
• Learn product information, company operations, and sorting procedures, and communicate this information to retailers and customers.
• Complete weekly tasks within the allotted time.
• Travel locally each day to service accounts.
