About The Position

Ferguson is hiring a Class A CDL driver to deliver materials to customers and support warehouse operations. The role offers daily home time, with no nights or weekends. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM or until the route is completed. The pay rate is $30 per hour, depending on experience, plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus paid after 90 days. The driver will load and unload deliveries, collect and verify customer returns, inspect and fuel the truck, and follow company and DOT safety requirements. The position may also assist warehouse personnel with preparing orders and handling incoming materials. Overtime may be required as needed. Requirements

Hold a valid Class A CDL.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements.
Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
Currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card to meet driver requirements.
Be able to independently lift objects weighing 50 pounds or more frequently and 90 pounds or more occasionally.
Communicate effectively and take a customer-focused approach.
Be able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads.
Complete pre-employment drug and background screening.

Nice To Haves

One to three years of commercial truck driving experience is strongly preferred.
A background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, and delivery, is a plus.

Responsibilities

Deliver materials to customers, using a pallet jack and two-wheel dolly to load and unload, and ensure the delivery ticket accompanies the material.
Pick up customer returns and validate product matches for credit requests.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report problems or issues to a supervisor.
Follow and implement company safety policies and procedures.
Assist warehouse personnel as needed with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, and receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking incoming material.
Work overtime as needed.
Follow safety regulations and correctly use personal protective equipment, including a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds.
