About The Position

Heritage Family of Companies is hiring a safety-conscious, self-motivated team player as a local CDL Class A or B Driver. The driver safely delivers products to customers’ places of business, job sites, and branch locations within a maximum radius of the home branch. Deliveries start and end at the branch, with no overnight stays. This is local day driving, with overtime opportunities during busy seasons.

The position also involves loading, unloading, and staging orders in warehouse or job-site environments; maintaining delivery, truck, and driving records; and performing related tasks such as stocking, order entry, shipping, and receiving. The job is located at National Structure in Spring Hill, Tennessee.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Safe driving record with no hit-and-run or DWI/DUI convictions within the last three years; accidents and/or severe violations in the last year will be reviewed by HR and Management.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to pass a background check, pre-employment drug test, and DOT physical.

Nice To Haves

• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT and OSHA safety regulations.
• HAZMAT endorsement.
• Forklift experience.
• Experience with other types of trucks, such as Moffett.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety while operating a commercial vehicle and comply with DOT regulations.
• Load, unload, and stage orders in warehouse or job-site environments.
• Deliver products to customer sites and branch locations, unloading products as needed.
• Understand and adhere to FMCSA regulations.
• Perform related duties such as stocking, order entry, shipping, and receiving.
• Maintain delivery, truck, and driving records by obtaining signed delivery receipts, recording tracking information, and completing driver log and truck performance forms.
