About The Position

Heritage Family of Companies is seeking a safety-conscious, self-motivated team player for a local CDL driving role. The driver safely delivers products to customers’ businesses, job sites, and branch locations within a maximum radius of the home branch. Deliveries start and end at the branch, with no overnight stays. This is local day driving, with overtime opportunities during busy seasons.

Requirements

Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
Safe driving record, with no hit-and-runs or DWI/DUI convictions within the last three years; accidents and/or severe violations in the last year are subject to HR and management review.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
Ability to pass a background check, pre-employment drug test, and DOT physical.

Nice To Haves

Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT and OSHA safety regulations.
HAZMAT endorsement.
Forklift experience.
Experience with other types of trucks, such as Moffett.

Responsibilities

Prioritize safety while performing job duties.
Comply with DOT regulations while operating a commercial vehicle.
Load, unload, and stage orders in a warehouse or job-site environment.
Deliver products to customer sites and branch locations, unloading products as needed.
Understand and adhere to FMCSA regulations.
Perform related duties such as stocking, order entry, shipping, and receiving.
Maintain delivery, truck, and driving records, including obtaining signed delivery receipts, recording tracking information, and completing driver logs and truck performance forms.
