About The Position

FCC Environmental Services, LLC is hiring a CDL Driver to operate a rear-load commercial vehicle on allocated routes in Daytona, Florida. The driver performs vehicle inspections, operates the vehicle and its controls in accordance with safety procedures, monitors vehicle readiness, completes required paperwork, and works with coworkers, dispatchers, and customers to provide timely, professional service.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid CDL Class A or B.
Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary.
Must meet all qualifications defined under Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

Garbage or recycling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete pre- and post-operation commercial vehicle checks in line with FCC regulations, including checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components.
Safely operate commercial vehicles on allocated routes that include roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.
Manually and/or automatically operate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with FCC safety regulations and procedures.
Communicate courteously with coworkers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure timely, professional service.
Monitor vehicle status to maintain operational readiness and reduce downtime.
Complete required paperwork and reports accurately.
Meet departmental productivity standards so clients are serviced in a timely and effective manner.
Follow and enforce all safety regulations and procedures.
