About The Position

Oak Farms of Dallas is hiring a dependable Class B CDL Driver to operate a straight truck and deliver dairy products to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Drivers build customer relationships through a positive attitude and familiarity with customer operations. The role may include merchandising, delivering and promoting products, and managing route inventory. Routes are local, and drivers are home every night.

Requirements

Six months of driving experience preferred.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to balance-pull product and climb in and out of a truck.
Ability to lift and/or move 100 or more pounds multiple times throughout the day.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess and maintain a Class B or Class A CDL with Air Brake.
Must pass pre-employment screening, including drug, background, and criminal checks.

Responsibilities

Drive a straight or pup truck to customer accounts and deliver products; the driver controls the order.
Deliver products efficiently, promptly, courteously, and accurately.
Promote new products and sales.
Maintain sufficient route inventory to meet customer demand while following account inventory-control and company distribution procedures.
Maintain proper handheld records for all accounts.
Load and unload product cases manually using a hook, handcart, or pallet jack.
Transport products across state lines or, for intrastate deliveries, haul some products originating in other states.
Maintain a valid Class B or Class A CDL and a current DOT medical card.
Comply with Department of Transportation regulations in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations handbook.
Perform other duties as assigned.
