About The Position

KLX Energy Services LLC provides a broad range of technical solutions and equipment to our customers, covering drilling, completions, re-fracing, production, workover, and plug and abandonment. We are currently seeking a CDL Driver for our location in Odessa, TX. The purpose of this role is to perform safe operations of various truck/trailer combinations between company shops and customer/vendor facilities or work sites. This includes loading and delivering necessary equipment to and from job sites, driving truck-mounted units to well sites delivering or servicing products, and troubleshooting equipment issues. The CDL Driver is also responsible for the preventative maintenance of vehicles used for equipment delivery.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years work experience
  • Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work
  • Ability to communicate and interpret a variety of oral and written instructions
  • Valid Class A CDL and acceptable driving history (Tanker endorsement required to operate company water/sewer trucks)
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to comply with and enforce deadlines.
  • Mentally alert; able to handle multiple tasks from multiple sources.
  • Good presence of mind; able to recognize significance of unusual events.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • 2-3 years related work experience
  • Relevant experience as a service technician in the oil and gas industry
  • Current relevant HSE certifications
  • Knowledge of operations, HazMat transportation, and placarding

Responsibilities

  • Performs safe operations of various truck/trailer combinations between company shops and customer/vendor facilities or work sites within the company’s geographic service area.
  • Loads & delivers necessary equipment to and from job sites.
  • Drives truck-mounted units to well sites delivering product or to service products.
  • Troubleshoots any issues with work/field equipment.
  • Responsible for the preventative maintenance of any type of vehicle used to deliver equipment to customers and/or warehouse locations.
  • Is responsible for the practice of safety procedures.
  • Is responsible for following DOT regulations for vehicles, reporting, and time reporting.
  • Acts as a helper or operator in the field.
  • Assures proper paperwork is completed to facilitate invoicing.
  • Maintains organization of equipment to present a professional appearance to customers and visitors.
  • Learns the proper use and maintenance routines for all equipment.
  • Must comply with all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Performs a combination of safety affecting activities including, but not limited to shipping, loading, and unloading duties.
  • Follows all standard shipping practices and procedures with full compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including additional transportation routing and scheduling requirements.
  • Verifies and document’s identity and quantity of all equipment.
