About The Position
The CDL-A Driver is responsible for safely transporting waste containers between transfer stations, processing facilities, and disposal locations within the local operating area. Drivers will operate tractor-trailer equipment while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Hazmat endorsement required.
- Tanker endorsement required.
- No license restrictions.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely operate tractor-trailer combinations.
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Nice To Haves
- Previous waste industry experience.
- Experience operating transfer trailers, roll-off equipment, or similar commercial equipment.
- Experience working in transportation, environmental services, or industrial operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate CDL-A tractor-trailer equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Transport waste containers between the Gum Springs transfer station and designated processing facilities.
- Complete approximately 5-6 loads per day.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company safety requirements.
- Complete required transportation and inspection documentation accurately.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, and site personnel regarding route status and operational needs.
- Report maintenance concerns, incidents, and safety issues promptly.
