CDL Driver / Erosion Control Crew Support

About The Position

SpreadRite is seeking a dependable, motivated CDL Driver to transport materials and equipment to job sites and support erosion control crews with onsite work. The role includes assisting with hydroseeder operations and other erosion control tasks. It is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys outdoor work and teamwork. The job is full-time in Pelham, Alabama, with compensation of $21.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

Valid Class A or B CDL with tank endorsement and a clean driving record.
Willingness and physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
Ability to operate or learn to operate a hydroseeder.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-player attitude.
Must pass a drug test and background check.
Ability to regularly lift more than 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Experience in erosion control, landscaping, or construction.
Experience with hydroseeder equipment or interest in learning.
Knowledge of erosion control methods and materials.
Mechanical aptitude or ability to perform minor truck and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

Safely operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
Assist with hydroseeding operations, including setup, hose handling, loading materials, and cleanup.
Support erosion control crews with silt fence installation, matting, straw blowing, and related tasks.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Ensure tools and equipment are loaded, secured, and maintained.
Follow safety protocols and DOT regulations.
Help maintain a clean and organized warehouse and equipment.
