About The Position

Grade A Construction is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate dump trucks and other heavy equipment to transport materials to and from job sites. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and the ability to work in various environments, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating dump trucks is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change.
  • Ability to think logically about work at hand and compare site conditions with where loads are to be placed.
  • Must have valid Commercial Driver's License.
  • Must have valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Must maintain a good Motor Vehicle Report to comply with insurability for operating a company vehicle.
  • Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while operating the vehicle .
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to climb on and operate vehicle in a safe manner ensuring a 3-point contact when entering or exiting the vehicle.
  • Must be able to work on Saturdays, when needed.
  • Must have own reliable transportation to staging area in Lebanon.

Responsibilities

  • Operate dump trucks for the transportation of materials, ensuring compliance with safety regulations at all times.
  • Verify the type of material being transported and ensure the load does not exceed weight restrictions.
  • Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections on the vehicle. All safety items must be noted and communicated for repair if necessary.
  • Operate in a safe manner enroute to jobsite, on jobsite (must ensure the safety guidelines are being followed) and returning to home base.
  • Maintain accurate records of loads delivered and ensure all paperwork is signed and turned in at the end of the shift.
  • Must maintain valid requirements (CDL License and Medical Card) as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle using tools to clean out any remaining material left after dumping.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by foreman/superintendent.
