About The Position

Earth Work Solutions is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join their Douglas, WY team. The CDL Truck Driver will support field crews and daily operations by ensuring materials, water, equipment, and other resources are delivered safely and on schedule. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to changing field conditions, and the ability to operate vehicles on rough lease roads, active work sites, and varying terrain while following all company, DOT, and customer-specific requirements.

Requirements

  • Safe and proficient operation of CDL trucks in an oilfield, construction, or heavy civil environment.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles on rough, muddy, uneven, and remote lease roads.
  • Strong understanding of safe driving practices and awareness of hazards associated with active oilfield operations.
  • Ability to maneuver trucks around heavy equipment, well sites, facilities, stockpiles, and other congested work areas.
  • Ability to follow directions, haul routes, site maps, and customer-specific procedures.
  • Strong communication skills with dispatch, supervisors, equipment operators, and field personnel.
  • Ability to recognize changing road, weather, traffic, and jobsite conditions.
  • Strong situational awareness and hazard recognition around heavy equipment and oilfield operations.
  • Ability to work independently and remain productive with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable, punctual, safety-minded, and able to maintain professional conduct at all times.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced field environment where priorities and hauling needs may change throughout the day.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of CDL driving experience, preferably in construction, aggregate hauling, or earthwork.
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Clean driving record meeting company insurance requirements.
  • Current DOT Medical Card.
  • Must pass pre-employment and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing per company policy and DOT regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional endorsements are preferred but not required.
  • Ability to obtain PEC/SafeLand, First Aid/CPR, H2S, and MSHA, along with any other site specific training requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CDL-class trucks such as dump trucks, belly dumps, end dumps, water trucks, and other fleet vehicles as assigned.
  • Transport materials to and from construction sites safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document findings.
  • Follow site-specific traffic control, speed limits, and dump/load procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and equipment operators regarding material needs and timing.
  • Maintain clean and organized truck cab and bed, ensuring compliance with company and DOT standards.
  • Assist with securing loads and ensuring proper weight distribution.
  • Report equipment issues, hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly.
  • Conduct and document daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned trucks and equipment.
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required training.
  • Occasionally assist crews with basic labor tasks if needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
