About The Position

Y. Hata is seeking friendly and reliable route drivers for its Transportation Department. The CDL A Delivery Driver delivers grocery products to customers using a refrigerated truck and established routes, ensuring goods arrive safely and on time. The position also involves customer service, collecting payments, resolving complaints, and promptly reporting issues. The role is based on O'ahu, and on-island residency is required. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Wednesday from 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Drivers work a rotating Saturday schedule to support operational and customer delivery needs. The company offers a guaranteed 40-hour workweek. Pay is $27 to $38 per hour, with incentive pay opportunities. In-house forklift certification training and reliable tractor/trailer equipment are provided.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A).
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
On-island residency on O'ahu is required.
If selected, submit a Driver History Record issued within the 30 days before the application date.

Nice To Haves

Two years of delivery route experience preferred.
Familiarity with local roadways and townships within the route area.
One year of distribution or warehouse experience, preferably in food service.

Responsibilities

Operate delivery vehicles to deliver food items, beverages, paper products, and cleaning supplies to customers’ places of business.
Unload products using a pallet truck, cart, or hand truck, and place stock on customer shelves or racks.
Preserve product quality and minimize damage during delivery.
Collect customer checks and record transactions on receipts and delivery records.
Write up and report damage or order discrepancies.
Collect or pick up empty containers, pallets, and rejected or unsold merchandise.
Perform daily truck inspections and general maintenance, including fueling and cleaning.
Follow all federal and state driver guidelines.
Perform similar and related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Provide customer service, collect payments, resolve complaints, and promptly report issues.
