About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a licensed CDL driver to make ground and rooftop deliveries of building materials. The role is responsible for keeping each delivery safe from departure from the facility through completion at the job site. It is labor-intensive and involves physically handling materials. The position does not require over-the-road travel; drivers are home every night. Warehouse work, including loading and unloading materials, may also be assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
• Must complete a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug screens.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
• Document each delivery step by taking and uploading photos using the camera phone system.
• Check the truck load before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secure and the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Work with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to place materials and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide customers with an invoice upon delivery and collect the full amount due for cash-on-delivery deliveries.
• Perform assigned warehouse work, including loading and unloading materials onto or off trucks or into the warehouse.
