The CDL Class B Route Driver will be responsible for selling and delivering dairy products over established routes or territories. This role involves maintaining existing accounts, building strong customer relationships, and distributing authorized products. The driver will also be responsible for maintaining company property, adhering to company policies and D.O.T. guidelines, and ensuring the dairy case at stops is well-maintained with proper stock rotation and acceptable product appearance. This position requires significant customer interaction and sales skills. The driver will collect money, make change, record transactions, write customer orders, and solicit new business. Duties also include loading and unloading product, stocking shelves, setting up displays, issuing promotional materials, and collecting unsold merchandise. The role involves physical demands such as climbing, crawling, walking, and handling heavy items, as well as working in extreme temperatures and outdoor conditions. The successful candidate must maintain the truck's cleanliness, perform routine maintenance, and drive safely and efficiently.
