CDL Class B Energy Delivery Driver
About The Position
The Energy Delivery Driver is the customer-facing representative of Tevis and delivers B2 on-road clear diesel fuel to commercial accounts. The role also includes delivering heating oil to residential and commercial tanks. Deliveries are local, with the driver home daily. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., plus daytime work on Sundays. The position pays $28–$32 per hour. Drivers work independently in all weather conditions while maintaining safety standards. The role involves loading and unloading a tanker truck carrying 2,800–4,500 gallons, completing delivery records and digital processes, communicating with dispatch, and maintaining the vehicle. It also includes overtime and some weekends during heating season and participation in a 24-hour emergency on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
- Hazmat endorsement.
- Tanker endorsement.
- Basic mathematical skills and computer knowledge.
- Strong customer-service focus.
- Clean driving record.
- Current CTEP certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to work independently in all weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Ability to back a truck into driveways.
- Comply with random DOT drug and/or alcohol testing.
- 1–3 years of driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities
- Deliver heating oil to residential and commercial tanks.
- Maintain compliance with DOT physical card requirements and Hazmat and Class B (minimum) CDL requirements.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain safety-conscious work practices.
- Complete all training successfully and on schedule.
- Load and unload a tanker truck carrying 2,800–4,500 gallons.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and digital records, including load records, manifests, and delivery tickets.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) and keep the truck clean.
- Maintain open communication with dispatch to ensure delivery and inventory records are accurate.
- Work overtime and some weekends during heating season.
- Participate in a 24-hour emergency on-call rotation.
