About The Position
Austin Powder Company is hiring a CDL Class B Driver - Operator in Roanoke, Virginia. This local, hands-on role involves safely handling explosives, including inventorying, loading, unloading, and transporting products at the local distribution center and customer job sites. The employee will also drive and operate Mobile Manufacturing Units (MMUs) and learn the technical aspects of staging products in the field at customer sites. The position is suited to someone who enjoys driving, outdoor work, and staying active, including the ability to lift 50 pounds. Drivers work Monday through Friday, are home nightly, and do not work weekends. The company emphasizes safety and offers opportunities for advancement locally and across the United States.
Requirements
- CDL Class B license; consideration will be given to CDL holders who still need tanker and/or hazardous materials endorsements.
- Tanker and hazardous materials (Hazmat) endorsements are required for the role.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work hands-on and outdoors.
