About The Position

Woodford Transport LLC is a distributor of propane, heating oil, and refined fuels serving customers in West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. The company is accepting applications for a full-time transport driver in Roanoke, Virginia. Drivers transport and deliver product using tanker trucks and trailers, perform required inspections and documentation, and follow applicable safety procedures and regulations. Drivers operate well-maintained trucks and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class A license with air brake and Hazmat qualifications.
• At least 1 year of driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to handle all weather conditions.
• Must meet all DOT/FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, deliver, and unload product at specified destinations.
• Prepare and complete pre-trip and post-trip truck and trailer inspections.
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Safely drive loaded and empty tanker trucks and trailers.
• Operate trucks and trailers according to established safety procedures.
• Safely hook up and unhook hoses and operate pumps and valves for loading and unloading.
• Safely fill tanks of all types and sizes.
• Safely use hand tools, including pipe wrenches, crescent wrenches, and hammers.
• Accurately complete driver logs and other required paperwork.
• Work courteously with supervisors, dispatchers, fellow employees, and customers.
