About The Position

Woodford Transport LLC is a well-established distributor of propane, heating oil, and refined fuels, serving customers across West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. The company is accepting applications for a full-time transport driver in Roanoke, Virginia. The driver safely transports, loads, secures, delivers, and unloads product using tanker trucks and trailers. The role includes inspecting vehicles, maintaining required records and logs, operating loading and unloading equipment, filling tanks, using hand tools, and working courteously with coworkers, dispatchers, supervisors, and customers. Drivers must meet DOT/FMCSA requirements and be able to lift 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Class A license with air brake and Hazmat qualifications.
Minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
Clean driving record.
Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to handle all weather conditions.
Must meet all DOT/FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

Load, secure, deliver, and unload product to and from specified destinations.
Prepare pre-trip and post-trip truck and trailer inspections.
Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
Safely drive loaded and empty tanker trucks and trailers.
Operate trucks and trailers according to established safety procedures.
Safely handle hooking and unhooking hoses and operate pumps and valves for loading and unloading.
Safely fill tanks of all types and sizes.
Safely use hand tools, including pipe wrenches, crescent wrenches, and hammers.
Accurately complete driver logs and other required paperwork.
Work courteously with supervisors, dispatchers, fellow employees, and customers.
