About The Position

Spee Dee Delivery is seeking a CDL Class A Driver for a 4-day workweek, focusing on Less Than Truckload (LTL) deliveries and pickups. The driver will operate a tractor-trailer combination or straight truck to transport palletized freight and large shipments. This role is based out of St. Cloud, MN, and is part of a family-owned company with a strong presence in the Midwest.

Requirements

At least 21 years of age.
Hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record that meets company standards.
Ability to operate a manual transmission.
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement.
Must possess good customer service and organizational skills.
Must be able to work independently and make quick decisions.
Ability to pass a DOT physical.
Ability to lift 75 pounds.
Full range of motion with no limits on grasping, standing, squatting, stair climbing, walking, etc.
Ability to work with all types of freight, including hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Drive a tractor-trailer combination or straight truck to deliver and pick up palletized freight and/or large shipments.
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
Submit pre-trip forms and complete mileage and maintenance logs.
Deliver palletized freight to customers and pick up freight from shippers in a timely manner.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of all load-related documentation.
Collect payment for shipments as required and return bill of ladings for billing.
Maintain all required certifications mandated by the DOT and company safety policies.
Wash the exterior of the tractor and equipment daily.
Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pickup tasks as needed.
