About The Position

Spee Dee Delivery is a family-owned company established in 1978, specializing in standard, next-day ground delivery. With headquarters in St. Cloud, MN, the company has expanded throughout the Midwest and employs over 1,800 individuals. This role is for a CDL Class A Driver (LTL) responsible for operating a tractor-trailer or straight truck to handle the delivery and pickup of palletized freight and large shipments. A new branch location is opening in November 2026, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for CDL Class-A drivers.

Requirements

At least 21 years of age.
Hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record that meets company standards.
Ability to operate a manual transmission.
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement.
Must possess good customer service and organizational skills.
Must be able to work independently and make quick decisions.
Ability to pass a DOT physical.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, including regularly lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds.
Full range of motion with no limits on grasping, standing, squatting, stair climbing, walking, etc.
Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Conduct a pre-trip inspection before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
Turn in pre-trip form and complete mileage and maintenance forms.
Deliver palletized freight in a timely manner to customers and pick up freight from shippers.
Verify all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
Collect payment for shipments as necessary and return bill of ladings to the office for billing purposes.
Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policies.
Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily.
Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick up as needed.
