About The Position

Cliff Berry, Inc. (CBI), a recognized leader in environmental services, industrial cleaning, emergency response, and petroleum waste management, is seeking experienced CDL Class A Tanker Drivers to join our Cape Canaveral team. This position is ideal for safety-focused professionals with experience operating tanker equipment in port and industrial environments. Candidates with experience working at Port Canaveral or similar maritime facilities are strongly encouraged to apply. As a member of the CBI team, you will safely transport petroleum products, waste oil, contaminated liquids, and other bulk materials while supporting environmental and emergency response operations throughout Central Florida.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A License.
  • Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements required.
  • Valid TWIC Card required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of verifiable tanker, liquid bulk, petroleum hauling, or vacuum truck experience.
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles (no automatic transmission restriction).
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and ability to meet Company driving standards.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical, pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, criminal background investigation, and all other pre-employment requirements.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and maneuver hoses, fittings, and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around industrial environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating within Port Canaveral or other port facilities is strongly preferred.
  • Petroleum fuel delivery, used oil collection, or hazardous waste transportation experience.
  • Vacuum truck, hydro-excavation, or pump transfer experience.
  • Previous emergency response or environmental services experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate CDL Class A tanker trailers, vacuum trucks, and other commercial vehicles transporting petroleum products, waste oil, wastewater, and other free-flowing liquids.
  • Perform loading, unloading, hose connections, pump transfers, and product offloading at customer sites, industrial facilities, and Port Canaveral.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip, post-trip, and equipment inspections to ensure DOT compliance and safe vehicle operation.
  • Complete driver logs, bills of lading, manifests, inspection reports, and environmental documentation accurately and timely.
  • Maintain compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, Port Authority, and Company safety regulations.
  • Support emergency spill response, environmental remediation, and industrial service projects as assigned.
  • Provide professional customer service while representing Cliff Berry, Inc. at customer locations.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response and after-hours customer service needs.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and operate all equipment safely and professionally.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
