About The Position

BSP Trans Inc. is hiring a full-time, first-shift CDL B Truck Driver in Westbrook, Maine. The role involves operating a straight truck and making freight pickups and deliveries in Maine and New Hampshire, including commercial and residential stops. Drivers work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and are home daily. Compensation starts at $29.70 per hour, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and overtime after 40 hours. BSP Trans Inc. provides LTL transportation services across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont through a six-terminal network.

Requirements

• Hold a CDL B license with a HazMat endorsement; the company will help drivers obtain the endorsement if they do not have it.
• Have a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card.
• Have at least 1 year of verifiable CDL experience.
• Successfully pass the required DOT drug test and physical.
• Have a clean driving and safety record.
• Have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Be able to exert physical effort handling objects, including pushing, pulling, and lifting items weighing more than 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks and other vehicles in accordance with company safety procedures and operating standards, OSHA, DOT, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.
• Perform freight pickups and deliveries within Maine and New Hampshire, serving commercial and residential customers professionally.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch about route updates, stops, and delays that affect the daily schedule.
