About The Position

Misfits Market is hiring a CDL B Truck Driver to transport freight in a company-provided tractor-trailer. The driver is responsible for operating the vehicle safely in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations, using internal freight-monitoring systems, and sorting, handling, loading, and unloading freight at destinations. The position lists a Monday–Friday schedule with a 5:00 a.m. start and also says drivers must be available for around-the-clock shifts to accommodate freight movements.

Requirements

• Have held a valid commercial driver's license for at least 2 years.
• Have 2 years of previous tractor-trailer driving experience and/or graduate from a State Certified and Licensed truck driving school.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English and perform simple mathematical calculations, including handling receipts, reading maps and road signs, and maintaining logs.
• Have working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
• Meet or exceed U.S. Department of Transportation medical standards and satisfactorily pass a drug test.
• Be comfortable driving for a full shift and working in all types of weather conditions until the job is done.

Responsibilities

• Operate the vehicle safely in accordance with DOT regulations for driving, hours of service, inspection, maintenance, and transportation of materials.
• Drive a company-provided tractor-trailer courteously to required destinations.
• Operate computers and internal freight-monitoring systems.
• Sort, handle, load, and unload freight at destinations.
