About The Position
R+L Carriers is hiring full-time Class B Truck Drivers at its Oakland, California Service Center. As a City Pickup and Delivery (P&D) Driver, you will deliver and pick up freight throughout the city, make multiple stops each workday, and return to the terminal daily. The work involves using scan equipment, interacting directly with customers, and potentially making liftgate deliveries with an electric pallet jack and/or dolly. Drivers are home every day. The hourly rate is $36.24, and shifts are available Monday through Friday. Paid time off is available after the first 90 calendar days of employment.
Requirements
- Hold a CDL Class B license.
- Have a good driving record/MVR.
- Be capable of delivering excellent customer service.
- Have strong problem-solving skills.
- Be able to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
Nice To Haves
- Experience making deliveries in a commercial vehicle in cities and small towns.
- Experience using a liftgate and pallet jack.
