About The Position
Operate specialized equipment (i.e. Backhoe, Crew Truck, Excavator, Prentice Truck etc.) in support of inspection, installation, and maintenance of railroad track. Performs preventative maintenance on heavy or specialized equipment. Maintains proper equipment appearance and cleanliness. May perform labor duties as needed. Communicates with supervisor throughout the job process. Ensures working conditions are safe and that proper PPE is being used as job duties require. Follow DOT regulations; ensuring proper permits and driving regulations are followed.
Requirements
- Demonstrated operation experience and equipment knowledge.
- CDL-B License and demonstrated performance operating CDL-B required vehicles.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot simple mechanical failures.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in railroad construction or maintenance preferred.
