About The Position
Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced CDL B Local Route Driver for its Operations team. The driver safely operates a commercial vehicle to provide secure, timely delivery and pickup of confidential business files and meets all physical handling requirements. The position is based at 10525 D Granite Street, Charlotte, NC 28273, and pays $23.00–$25.00 per hour depending on experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. until route completion.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional route-driving experience using a CDL B license.
- Valid CDL B driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle operation, DOT regulations, and local-area routes.
- Ability to lift, pull, and push items weighing 50–70 pounds.
- Safe driving practices and excellent customer-service skills.
Responsibilities
- Drive an automatic 20- to 26-foot box truck and complete an average of 15 or more stops per day, delivering and picking up confidential documents from businesses accurately and on time.
- Work with dispatchers and operations teams to manage routes, resolve unforeseen issues, and maintain high customer-service standards.
- Maintain a good driving record and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Follow local labor laws and Iron Mountain safety and regulatory standards, particularly when handling confidential materials.
