The CDL B Delivery Truck Driver runs daily delivery routes with frequent stops. The driver loads packages onto hand trucks and unloads products at each stop in the order designated by the Transportation Department Manager. The role operates within a cross-dock model: picking up a loaded truck from a nightly delivery at the assigned loading dock and returning the empty truck to the assigned lot at the end of the route. The driver may also occasionally assist with loading trucks, palletizing product, and other duties assigned by a supervisor or manager. The driver is expected to meet route and productivity goals, provide professional customer service, handle delivery discrepancies and complaints, and follow company and Department of Transportation safety procedures. The position involves frequent lifting, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and working in varied weather and traffic conditions.
