About The Position

Ferguson is hiring a Delivery Truck Driver with a CDL Class B to deliver materials to customers, pick up customer returns, and assist warehouse personnel with order preparation and incoming materials. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; overtime is likely and may be required as needed. The role offers daily home time, with no nights or weekends stated. Drivers must meet and maintain CDL and DOT qualifications, follow safety policies and regulations, and use required personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• Hold a valid CDL Class B.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have prior flatbed experience.
• Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements.
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
• Currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card to meet driver requirements.
• Be able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Be a strong communicator with a customer-focused approach.
• Be able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads.
• Complete pre-employment drug and background screening.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift and/or Moffett experience is preferred.
• A background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, and delivery, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers, using a pallet jack and two-wheel dolly to load and unload, and ensure the delivery ticket accompanies the material.
• Pick up customer returns and validate that products match credit requests.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report problems or issues to a supervisor.
• Follow and implement company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist warehouse personnel as needed with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, and receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking incoming material.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Follow safety regulations and use required personal protective equipment, including a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
