About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a Class B CDL Delivery Truck Driver to deliver building products safely and reliably. The driver is responsible for each delivery from departure from the facility through completion at the job site. This position does not require over-the-road travel, and drivers are home every night. Duties may also include warehouse work, such as loading and unloading materials from trucks or moving them into the warehouse as assigned.

Requirements

Valid CDL, Class B minimum.
Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
Complete a pre-employment drug screen and participate in random drug screens.

Nice To Haves

Flatbed truck experience.
Trailer-mounted forklift experience.

Responsibilities

Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Establish and maintain a safe work zone at each job site.
Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
Document each delivery step by taking and uploading photos using the camera phone system.
Check the truck load before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Coordinate with the Delivery Material Handler on where to place materials and assist with unloading them.
Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
Provide the customer with an invoice upon delivery completion and collect the full amount due for COD deliveries.
Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials from trucks or into the warehouse.
