About The Position

The CDL Driver (Class A or B) is responsible for safely, promptly, and professionally transporting building materials, construction products, and equipment to customer locations and job sites. The role combines commercial driving with hands-on loading, unloading, securing, and verifying materials while complying with DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety standards. Depending on the business unit, deliveries may include oversized, specialized, or engineered building components. The position suits a safety-focused, dependable, customer-oriented driver comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
Follow all DOT and company safety procedures and always wear appropriate PPE.
Transport building materials, construction products, and equipment to customer locations and job sites safely and on time.
Load, unload, secure, and verify materials.
