About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc. is hiring a CDL Asphalt Distributor Driver for its Madison Construction crew, based in Madison, Tennessee. The driver works with paving crews on projects including commercial parking lots, city streets, county roads, and interstate highways. The role involves operating a distributor/tack truck and water truck, assisting with paving and related labor tasks, and training to operate paving equipment. This is a full-time, day-shift position; some night-shift work is required. Wages start at $26.00 per hour. Some positions require no experience, and Rogers Group will provide training. Prior asphalt paving experience is preferred but not required. The company describes its work environment as safe and drug-free.

Requirements

• Valid CDL with tanker endorsement.
• Dedicated to operating safely at all times.
• Safe driving record.
• Physical ability to perform routine maintenance and daily cleaning of the distributor's spray system.
• Ability and willingness to complete various labor tasks as needed.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessary.
• Team player.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in an asphalt paving operation; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the distributor/tack truck ahead of the paving operation to spray tack and prepare surfaces for paving.
• Drive and move the water truck on the job site as needed.
• Train to operate paving equipment, such as a skid steer and roller.
• Work behind the paver with a shovel or asphalt rake as needed between truck operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the lead or foreman.
• Perform routine maintenance and daily cleaning of the distributor's spray system.
• Complete labor tasks as needed as part of the construction crew.
