About The Position

The Linen Distributor is responsible for operating dryer equipment and supporting production in a linen processing environment. The role includes completing production logs, work instructions, and related paperwork; operating the dryer in accordance with safety and health procedures; monitoring gauge readings and making adjustments; and taking hourly readings of evaporator and injector status. The employee also cleans and sterilizes the sifter and related equipment after production. The position involves filling and emptying dryer bins, moving product from wash tanks to dryers and elevators, and using an overhead conveyor/hoist system. The employee maintains product flow from the dryer room to the scale mezzanine, inspects product and equipment for contaminants, and responds quickly to the movement of dryer baskets and carts. Work takes place in a warm, humid environment and involves frequent climbing, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering equipment. Other work-related duties may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Complete production log sheets, work instructions, and other related paperwork.
Operate the dryer machine in accordance with safety and health policies and procedures.
Monitor gauge readings and make adjustments when necessary.
Take hourly readings on evaporator and injector status.
Clean and sterilize the sifter and related equipment after production.
Fill and empty dryer bins.
Ensure machinery is working properly.
Move product from wash tanks to dryers and elevators.
Use hand-eye coordination to operate the overhead conveyor/hoist system.
Maintain a steady flow of product from the dryer room to the scale mezzanine.
Inspect product and equipment for possible contaminants.
Quickly maneuver dryer baskets and carts between the wash system, dryer deck, and elevators.
Perform other work-related duties assigned by the Supervisor.
