This entry-level CDL-A truck driver position offers paid on-the-road training and central regional freight runs through Texas and nearby states. New drivers train with an experienced trainer for 4 to 6 weeks and receive $650 per week. After training, drivers receive full solo pay and a guaranteed $1,000 per week for their first 3 months solo. Average weekly gross earnings are $1,100 to $1,400, with 1,700 to 2,000 miles per week, $15 stop pay, and an additional performance bonus. Drivers may often be routed through home between loads and are home every 2 weeks. The work serves varied customers rather than a single dedicated account. Riders and pets are permitted after training is complete. Medical, dental, and vision benefits begin after 30 days; the package also includes a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and paid orientation with travel covered.
