About The Position

Drive a refrigerated (reefer) truck for a carrier that provides paid training to new drivers. Training lasts 4 to 6 weeks with an experienced mentor and pays $650 per week. Orientation lasts 2 days or less and pays $300. After training, drivers average $1,300 to $1,500 per week, with a $1,000 weekly guarantee during the first 3 months solo and a monthly performance bonus. Solo drivers typically cover 1,900 to 2,500 miles per week and are home every two weeks. The role does not involve unloading freight. Drivers use late-model Freightliners, averaging about 1.5 years old. Pets and riders are allowed after training. Medical, dental, and vision coverage begins after 30 days; additional offerings include a 401(k), stock purchase program, employee assistance, and a free online college degree.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Have a valid Class A CDL.
Have completed at least 120 hours of CDL school.
Pass a hair and urine drug test.
Provide 3 years of verifiable employment history.
Have no more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
Have no serious violations in the past 12 months.
Have no major preventable accidents in the past 5 years.
Have no DUI/DWI within the past 5 to 10 years.
Experienced drivers must have 6 months of OTR experience in the past 12 months or 12 months of OTR experience in the past 5 years.

Nice To Haves

New drivers are welcome.
Military experience is considered with a DD214.
Qualifying OTR experience for experienced drivers: 6 months in the past 12 months or 12 months in the past 5 years.
