About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a CDL A Transit /Shuttle Driver to transport loaded and empty trailers, singles or doubles, between GFS Distribution Centers or point-to-point via night transit. The position involves night shifts, offers daily home time, and does not require handling freight. Pay is component-based, with pay per day and per trip. The schedule is Sunday night through Thursday night, with Tuesday nights off.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have a Class A CDL at hire.
Have at least 2 years of driving experience with a Class A license.
Have a Doubles (T) endorsement.
Be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Be able to read, write, and communicate in English to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits and updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions.
Successfully pass a drug test, including screening for marijuana, and a background check.
Have a clean driving record as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
Be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent.

Responsibilities
